Tuesdays I have a pretty full schedule and I was not sure I could attend the men's basketball game that night. I had to go straight to the game from a workout but I'm really glad I did! It was one of the best games I've watched so far this season. Radford University is one of our biggest conference rivals and as such the game was very close all the way through!
Liberty drove down to the opposite side of the court away from their bench in the first half. The team has changed their offensive strategy over the course of the season and has really picked up the pace of the action; keeping the other team on their toes. Also, they are making a lot more three point shots to keep themselves on the scoreboard.
Throughout the game, many of the Liberty's team members sunk foul shots which helped us keep up with Radford University scoring until we took and kept the lead later in the game!
The cheerleaders celebrate all sunken baskets from the foul line with back tucks!
The squad kind of rolls with the punches to put up stunts sequences, dances, or various games and crowd activities depending on the type of time out or during halftime! They do a great job!
Check out some of the action from rest of the game!
Dr. Towns even attended the game! He chatted with Athletic Director, Jeff Barber, cheered on the team, and congratulated them on their victory!
After a well fought and close battle, Liberty beat Radford with a score of 75-70! Go Flames!
