Q: WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE?
A: I would describe my overall photography style to be crisp, clean images that are classic and timeless in nature. Depending on the type of session I may create imagery with an editorial and/or fashion feel as well. I prefer to shoot with lots of available natural light if possible and provide posed and candid images for all sessions and weddings. For the most part, my post processing is minimal.
Q: WHAT GEAR DO YOU USE?
A: I've been a Canon girl since the beginning. For all sessions and weddings you will find the following currently in my bag: Canon 7D and Canon Rebel T5i body, Canon 100mm 2.8 macro lens, Canon 50mm 1.4 lens, Canon 85mm 1.8 lens, Canon 17-55mm 2.8 lens, and a Canon 430 EX II flash. I rent additional lens' or camera bodies for sessions and weddings as needed.
Q: HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
A: Currently, I am providing high resolution images on disc(s) to my clients for both portrait sessions and weddings. Once the images are fully edited, we schedule an in person image delivery session with my clients. It is wonderful for me to see your reaction to your images and to help you determine what products would help you display your favorites!
Q: WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
A: It is my goal to get your images back to you in a timely fashion following either our session or your wedding. For portrait sessions, full editing will be completed 2 weeks after the session date. For weddings, two months to have all the images completely edited and ready for delivery. If additional photographers or more hours of coverage are added, this means more images and more time for processing.
Q: ARE THE PICTURES I RECEIVE PROOFS?
A: No. The photographs you receive are fully edited, finished photographs, NOT unedited raw proofs directly off my camera. Every image is reviewed and edited making minor adjustments as needed. Each image (excluding duplicates, improperly exposed images, test shots, etc) is post-processed, color-corrected and polished using the latest professional software on the market. I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. You can expect to receive both color and black & white variations of your session or wedding day. I may employ a heavier style of editing for some images such as action/cheer or to create a more artistic look.
Q: CAN I KEEP MY PHOTOS?
A: Yes, absolutely! You will
receive your images on disc and you will receive a signed release that grants you full usage rights. This
means you may do with them as you please (excludes using the images for profit) at no additional cost. You can
print them, post them to the photo-sharing websites (Facebook, Twitter,
etc) and email them to family and friends. Jae Studios
retains the copyright on all photographs.
Q: HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?
A: It is hard to determine an exact number but all sessions and wedding collections include unlimited photographs. It is my personal feeling that a higher quality image over a sheer quantity of images serves the client better in the long term. With that being said, I provide an average of 40 images for portrait sessions and 1000 images for weddings. This may vary due to factors such as number of photographers and/or time allotted for portraits.
Q: DO YOU SHOOT BY YOURSELF, OR WITH SOMEONE ELSE? CAN WE ADD AN ADDITIONAL SHOOTER?
A: For portrait sessions, I (Janine A. Enold) will be the sole photographer. Although, I may bring an assistant with me. All but one of my wedding collections includes 2 photographers. I recommend very STRONGLY that two photographers are employed on the wedding day as it guarantees multiple angle coverage. Some brides and grooms choose to add a third shooter at an additional cost and allow for there to be two photographers on the bride and groom at all times on the wedding day.
Q: DO YOU TRAVEL TO WEDDINGS OUT OF STATE/COUNTRY?
A: Yes. I am available for travel worldwide! I love to photograph new places and faces!
Q: DO YOU HAVE A TRAVEL FEE?
A: For all portrait sessions and weddings, travel is included in my session price for up to 75 miles from my home office in Lynchburg, Virginia. For portrait sessions or weddings over 75 miles, we can discuss any additional fees or costs needed for travel, which may include airfare or hotel reservations. Contact me and we'll work out specifics!
Q: WE'VE ALREADY FOUND OUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, BUT WANT YOU TO PHOTOGRAPH OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
A: YES, I'd be honored! BUT . . . . before you book me please consider this first! Many photographers include an engagement session with their wedding package and we don't include it just to be nice. Most photographers know a couple things: 1) Their clients aren't full time models and 2) The more comfortable someone is during a session, the better that person(s) comes across in their images! The moral of the story is that your engagement session is a good time to get comfortable with your contracted wedding photographer before your big day and can make a big difference! So, I recommend trying (I know that there can be extenuating circumstances!) to book your engagement session with your wedding day photographer before making other arrangements with a different photographer.
